A Letter From Wolf

Welcome All!

To some the sword was his or her soul. Carrying a sword meant carrying a heavy responsibility. To brandish one’s weapon without just cause was a crime punishable by death usually by one’s own hand. The Samurai believed this to the point of absolute truth. In some Daimyo house rules, to quarrel or argue with someone was grounds for decapitation! The sword and soul are considered sacred, and are to be well taken care of and not abused. The utmost respect must be placed upon the sword. Any misuse or abuse of these works of art is not condoned.

Most warriors were required to learn and practice calligraphy and poetry, as well as flute or other form of music in order to maintain peace and balance within their souls. Combining codes of conduct and practicing art enables the individual to make sound decisions and cope with the world as it is.

I truly feel that embracing: compassion, impeccability, courteousness, self-discipline, integrity, justice, honor and courage is the way to understanding the sword and soul. Having unconditional respect for all living beings is what having a soul is. When we walk with a smile in our hearts we heal all around us. If your heart smirks, judges or hates, only malice will surround you. The natural order of things is to be serene and helpful, we can achieve this, only if we decide on achieving peace ourselves.

Our insecurities of how other people view us are just fears. They are our true enemy! Fear is one of the mind killers that can deteriorate our soul, keeping us from enjoying each other or ourselves for who we are. I feel if I have to show someone I am better, I have already proven that I am not.

I’ve learned that if I feel inferior to someone, they usually have something to teach me. If I feel threatened physically I prepare to defend, negotiate and learn.

Our world is not Hollywood, it never should be. Fantasy is a lot if fun but it is just that. It might be worth what ever we spend to sit in front of the screen, but after the end credits I like to remind myself, “Ya ain’t Batman or even Frodo for that matter.” We all could benefit from doing a reality check every once in a while.

I hope you enjoy our site and I would love to hear from you.
